To continue the hike, carry on up the mountain on the path. One path descends to Sandviken, but follow instead the path that ascends towards Sandvikspilen. There is a sign here to ‘Sandvikspilen’.
Follow the path upwards. It is a little soft underfoot in some sections. Follow the path all the way up until you arrive at Sandvikspilen, on the summit of Stolzekleiven. This takes around 45 minutes at an average pace. Just beyond Sandvikspilen there is a shelter where you can relax.Further down, you can go down Stolzekleiven or follow the path to Fløyen. This hike description goes down Stolzekleiven and is marked on the map. Go down the steps and follow these until you are down on Fjellveien (gravel road). This takes approximately 30 minutes at a calm pace. Please ensure that you show consideration to people walking/running up Stolzekleiven. The steps are only wide enough for one person at a time.
Once down on Fjellveien, turn right and follow Fjellveien until it turns into an asphalt road. Turn right up the hill and follow this until you see Sandviken Hospital, where you started. This takes approximately 15 minutes.

Important things to know when hiking:
The Norwegian right to roam (Allemannsretten) gives us many opportunities, but also imposes a duty on us to look after the natural world. When out in nature, you undertake to leave nothing behind other than your own footprints. Leaving no trace is about cleaning up after yourself, taking all rubbish with you and behaving with care and consideration when you are among nature.
